I got swallowed by a GIANT FISH. Yeah. You heard that right. Three days. Three nights. Inside a belly. No light. No bed. Just me, my guilt, and the constant sound of sloshing seawater. How did I get there? Well… it all started when I tried to run from God. Many years ago, in the land of Israel, I was just a guy named Jonah — son of Amittai. I loved God. I really did. But when He told me to go preach to the people of Nineveh… I said, “Nope. Not doing it.” I bought a ticket to a place called Tarshish — basically the opposite direction — thinking I could outrun God's plan. Spoiler alert: bad idea. I hopped on a boat, and before long… BAM. The skies turned black. Waves slammed the ship. The crew panicked. They cried out to every god they could think of. But me? I was asleep. The captain yelled, “Get up! Pray to your God!” And after a round of casting lots (ancient dice, basically), they figured out this storm was MY fault. I confessed everything. “Throw me overboard,” I said. “This storm is because of me.” They didn’t want to… but eventually, they did. As I sank into the sea, I thought it was over. But then… I got swallowed. By. A. Fish. Inside that belly, I had three days to think. And let me tell you — nothing makes you reevaluate your life choices like being digested alive. I prayed. I cried. I begged. And on the third day, the fish spat me out — right onto dry land. God spoke again. Same mission: “Go to Nineveh.” This time… I listened. I walked through the city, shouting, “Forty days from now, Nineveh will be destroyed!” And guess what? They believed me. Every single person — even the king — repented. They fasted. They prayed. They changed. And God showed mercy. And me? I got mad. “God, I KNEW you'd forgive them. That's why I ran in the first place!” God gently reminded me: “Jonah, if you care that much about a plant giving you shade, don’t you think I should care about a city with over 120,000 people — and even animals?” Ouch. This story isn’t really about a fish. It’s about a Father — one who chases down rebels, forgives entire cities, and gives second chances to people who don’t deserve them… like Nineveh… and like me. So if you think you’ve run too far, messed up too badly, or ignored God one too many times… Just remember: You can’t outrun His love. And if He can use a stubborn guy like Jonah… He can use you too. God’s mercy is bigger than any storm — and way bigger than any fish. #livingbythewordofgod #christianbelieversinarunachalpradesh #walkinspiritoftheholyspirit
