This week we continue building my Honda Trail 70 snow bike out of a Lifan knock off CT70 frame and a bunch of junk parts I had laying around. This time we are going to build the front ski and take the snow minibike for a spin the the blizzard. How well wit the little 110cc engine will it handle the deep snow? Do I need to upgrade to a 125cc? I start out by fabricating and welding up some custom brackets so I can mount the ski to the Honda XL100 forks. I bolted the two skis off of the Chinese snow bike go kart kit together so it will resemble a Timbersled or other motocross snow bike. I had to fab some new brackets from scratch since the ones that came with the kit didn't fit my XL100 forks. A little band sawing and welding later, we had us some brackets that fit the sled nicely. We got over 2 feet of snow and a ton of wind in the blizzard so it took some time to dig ourselves out so I could go for a test ride. I have a lot of work left to do but we got it moving! I am still waiting on a ton of parts that are stuck in the mail due to the bad weather. Hopefully they will make it here soon so I can keep building on the bike for you!
