Although I was hesitate, I decided to trust my psychiatrist and try a couple of medications that were supposed to help. Weeks later, I realized that medication was far from the enemy that I thought it was. I realized the help that I needed was okay. Although I, or anyone else, may seem fine at any given moment, mental illness is something that is oftentimes not apparent. It's an ongoing journey with ups and downs.
