Göbekli Tepe was raised around 9500 BC: six thousand years before Stonehenge, by people with no pottery, no metal, no wheel, no writing and no farms. So who really built it? This Dark Files episode treats the question like a case. Three suspects: a lost civilisation, the first farmers, and the hunter-gatherers nobody expected. Each one is tested against what thirty years of excavation have actually found: the tools, the animal bones, the grain, the water cisterns and the sister sites of the Stone Hills (Taş Tepeler). About 10 % of the site has been excavated, and the picture changes with every season (status: early October 2026). SOURCES • K.
