To learn more, visit www.lamkingrips.com. [Video Transcript] Carl: Hi, I'm Carl from Lamkin. I'm here to talk a little bit more about our ACE 3GEN material. I'm here with Misti Toro of Toro texture. And we are going through a little bit of the details around the texture test that we've done to verify the tackiness of our super-tacky ACE 3GEN material. Misti, can you tell me a little bit about Toro texture and specifically the test that we're going to run today? Misti: Toro texture specializes in physical property testing. This machine is a stable micro-system TAHD plus texture analyzer. And we’ll be using it to test adhesion. Carl: Before we start our test, a little background on this new technology. ACE is an acronym for advanced cohesive elastomer and was developed by Lamkin chemist as a material enhancement to our existing 3GEN material. When we developed our new wrap style grip more than a year ago, we studied feedback from thousands of golfers. Almost unanimously golfers ranked grip tackiness as one of the most highly desired grip attributes. The ACE compound includes vibration dampening properties of 3GEN. But the real advancement was creating a compound that delivers unparalleled surface tackiness. Okay and can we go through exactly what this test is if you put something in here and it has no adhesion or tackiness to it, what would happen? Misti: Basically the machine puts the probe down on the sample that you're testing. And as it pulls away it measures the force that it takes to pull off of it. If there is no adhesion whatsoever or no tackiness, you're going to have 0-5 grams of force. The grip tapes that you may use will have 400-500 grams of force to pull away. Carl: so basically, the more force it takes for the probe to release from the material, the tackier the material it is? Misti: Yes that is true. Carl: Okay let's put the grips to the test. So, Misti as this test is running, can you tell us a little bit about what we are seeing here on the texture analyzer? Misti: The probe is going to be lowered down to touch the sample. A known force is going to be applied to it for 30 seconds to ensure that the probe is attached to the sample surface. And as it pulls away, the machine will measure the force that it takes to pull that probe off of your sample. Carl: So Misti, how did Lamkin's grip test in the texture test? Misti: Your grip had a force of 245.89 grams. Carl: So should I interpret that to read that we were approximately twice as tackier as the other wrap grip. And approximately 8 times as tacky as the first grip that we tested. Misti: That is correct. Carl: Today's adhesion test results clearly confirm that the ACE 3GEN material is unquestionably more tacky than some of the industry’s tackiest golf grips.
