EdenLive is an open-source real-time generative renderer from VAST AI Research that transforms 3D blockouts, game engine footage, 2D cartoons, and real-world video into detailed photorealistic or stylized video. It preserves the source layout, camera motion, and dynamics while generating a new visual world in real time. 24+ FPS at 720p. A 5B model running on a single RTX 5090. We’re open-sourcing EdenLive together with EdenGolem v0.1, an agent that turns a single prompt into a playable world with rules and state running underneath. EdenGolem builds the state. EdenLive brings it to life. In May, we introduced Project Eden with a simple proposition: world models should maintain a world state first, then render observations of it. Instead of asking one model to jointly learn the rules of a world and its appearance, we separate the underlying state from the way that state is rendered. This makes it possible to build structured, interactive worlds and generate diverse visual observations of them. Today’s releases build on that separation by connecting playable worlds with real-time generative rendering. EdenGolem creates the world state and gameplay logic. EdenLive renders that state as a continuous video stream, while also supporting visual references from existing games, animation, and the real world. This methodology can be used for interactive games, controllable world simulation, visual prototyping, game development, and embodied AI. Beyond interactive worlds, we’re exploring EdenLive as a data engine for embodied AI—adding visual variety to existing motion data for robot learning and helping agents learn from richer visual environments.
