Thinking of submitting your songs to a paid playlist organization such as Groover, Musosoup, or Submit Hub? Well, I sure was, and did just that. I spent $200USD on GROOVER and YES it does 'work'. By work, I mean, it isn't a scam. I had about a 40% acceptance rate, of which around half of those were playlists. So, yes, I did get onto playlists. The quality of these playlists are in question. Overall, I didn't really see that spike in plays as I was expecting. I do highlight that I rushed into this a little as was keen to just get this submissions in! I also got placed on several social media pages and gained a few radio plays - again, none of these transcribed into Spotify steams or additional plays (or nothing significant!) Would I recommend this? Well, yes and no. I feel that as an emerging artist you really have to try and do everything that you can to get some more exposure, and if you have the funding then give it a try. If I was to do this again I sure would spend a little more time selecting the playlists and messaging the top playlists. So, there may be a part 2 to this video in the future. Once I've built up some funds again anyway. I do recommend using DailyPlaylists and SoundPlate as you get free submissions each week.
