We found a DDR Megamix at Wildfire Lanes in Las Vegas and decided to take a video to see how different the theme looks from DDR Extreme. See below for more info! Info... DDR Megamix was made in China by Bootleggers. That is also the source of the DDR crap-o-cabs that Namco bought. Dance Dance Revolution MegaMix Dance Dance Revolution MegaMix was the first of the two bootlegs. It was advertised as an "upgrade" to DDR EXTREME, and many arcade operators paid to install it over DDR EXTREME. To their chagrin, it turned out to be a scam: the gameplay was exactly the same; only a few interface elements were tweaked, including the removal of the original songwheel background with a blank blue screen and the replacement of freeze arrows with "freeze blocks", where the whole area of the freeze arrow is simply a filled rectangle (likely a bug), and the replacement of the Japanese warning screen with the words "DONT FALL OFF !!" Dance Dance Revolution EXTREME Plus! Dance Dance Revolution EXTREME Plus! was the second of the two bootlegs. It also featured some graphical changes, but it had one gameplay addition - the ability to increase the song tempo by 10% or 20% by increasing the clockspeed which in turn damages the machine's internal CPU. In addition, the tempo can often not be changed, causing much agony among DDR players as their songs become harder and more likely to fail. Main Differences between DDR MegaMix and DDR Extreme 1- Graphics changes (main screen, warning screen, marquee, song select, and more.) 2- Sorting is being remembered between games. (ie: If a player used, say, ABC sorting on his last song, the next player will start on ABC sorting, instead of the normal DDREX sorting). 3- Some versions have been known for replacing freeze arrows with "blocks". 4- DDR Megamix has been proven to be unlockable with normal DDREX codes and instructions. Some other versions will not allow you to go to the "code-entering" screen. It is said that versions that replace freezes with "blocks" won't allow the unlock procedure. 5- When a game is started in ABC sorting (ie: if the last's game's song was selected using ABC sorting), some random song will play. 6- Another unconfirmed piece of info is: Unlockable versions may play songs available only through unlocking, should a game be started on ABC sorting. 7- Loading times (when you select a song, and it says "1st stage") can be a bit longer than on Extreme
