A few months ago, I lost over 20,000 subscribers. A few weeks later, a former friend blackmailed me for $10,000. Even after weeks, I was still losing hundreds of subs every day, and releasing new videos only caused me to lose MORE. It felt like it would never end. I wasn't sure if it was even possible to navigate my way out of it. The entire time, a part of me wanted to pack it up and go back to work as a developer. This is just my firsthand account of everything that's happened these last few months. Up until now, I haven't publicly responded to the vast majority of the provocations, but it's impossible to share my experiences in the last few months without doing so. I was compelled to release most of the messages in full, as I had been criticized for not doing so during the controversy. This video is about _me_ and _my experiences._ The reality is that there are some other notable community figures who took actions that deeply impacted me, and I _had_ to talk about those things if I was to make an earnest, legitimate video. Those were very real experiences I went through that sucked. Regardless, I think it's obvious that this video is about _me,_ not any other content creator. It's why I elected not to name them, because _who they are specifically_ doesn't matter; drawing attention to it doesn't enable me to tell my story any better. Anyway, this was a tough one to make, but it's sort of a relief now that it's done. I hope you... find it interesting? As someone who has been on the receiving end of vicious harassment, it's completely insane to harass anyone else on MY behalf. One of the most foolish things my critics did was continually engage with my content and posts as they harassed me.
