SiN 1 Long play (steam edition) My motivation for creating this long play was primarily because one did not exist. Nor were there any other videos of this quirky yet memorable game. I chose the steam edition because it's convenient :) This is my first long play, and I attempt to take the longest route showing off as many levels as possible. While I don’t always get every secret of complete every objective, I hope that this video is still entertaining for its length. About SiN 1: SiN 1 was released October 31st 1998, about two weeks before Half-Life 1, and sadly it never got the recognition it truly deserved. Even the lone sequel episode was ill-fated and forced the studio to shut down. The original CD version had a LOT of quirks, bugs, issues, and amazingly long load time. Even today after all the patches the game isn’t perfect, but that’s part of its charm  Despite all those issues it really did do a lot of new and innovative things for its time: Branching paths and multiple transition points between levels (Thanks to the Quake 2 engine) Dynamic events between levels that the player could trigger, opening up secret paths and blocking off others. An antagonist that you never fight directly. Some really cool locations and environments. Wacky back and forth banter between the main character and his team. These might seem common place today, but back in 1998 I was blown away at how different this game felt compared to the other games back then.
