How much money can you earn by becoming a Jhula Wala at an Indian Mela for just one day? 🎡💰 Today, I decided to experience the life of a mela worker and find out how much money we could make by running jhulas at a mela! Before the mela started, the entire ground was prepared for visitors. Mosquito fogging was done, the staff checked all the machines, and the rides were cleaned to make sure everything was ready. I then changed into a proper jhula wala costume, started the generator, switched on the jhulas, and waited for my first customer! Soon, people started arriving at the mela, and I began selling tickets for ₹200 each. Some people bought 3 tickets, while others bought 4 tickets. Within just 10 minutes, I had already sold 50 tickets! One girl even asked me if she could get a discount for buying 3 tickets, but unfortunately, there were no discounts. 😂 As the crowd started increasing, my job became more challenging. I started operating the jhulas, helping people get seated safely, managing the queues, checking tickets, and making sure everyone got their turn. The mela was slowly getting packed, and long lines started forming in front of the rides. I moved from one jhula to another, even operating my favourite Dragon Jhula! 🎢 Watching so many people enjoying the rides made me realise just how popular Indian melas are. I also spotted two kids enjoying a small roller coaster and dancing while riding it. After working so hard, even I wanted to enjoy the rides! And the best part? Since I was the jhula wala for the day, I got to ride all the jhulas for FREE! 😂 Honestly, Indian jhulas have a different level of fun, excitement, and nostalgia. But the biggest question remained: How much money did we actually make in one day? At the end of the day, we sold a total of 3,500 tickets across all the jhulas. With each ticket priced at ₹200, the total ticket sales came to: 🎟️ Total tickets sold: 3,500 💰 Price per ticket: ₹200 🔥 Total ticket revenue: ₹7,00,000 in ONE DAY! That's ₹7 lakh in total ticket sales from one day at the mela! 🤯 However, this is total revenue, not pure profit, because expenses such as staff salaries, generator fuel, electricity, maintenance, and other operating costs would need to be deducted.
