Did you know this about glitch productions? Today glitch announced their next upcoming indie show called gameoverse, let’s talk about it. So the other day glitch posted this teaser featuring a partnership between them and rubber ross. Rubberross, who is ross o donovan is a well known youtuber and animator. You might be familiar with him if you watched game grumps or that newgrounds sphere of creators. A couple of hours ago glitch posted a teaser image, saying a big announcement is coming on the 23rd. The image depicts the character kit, from gameoverse. Ross posted a tweet thanking everyone for the support, saying it’s a show he’s been working on for over a decade and we’ll learn more about it soon. So what is gameoverse? It’s a silly animated youtube series by ross from over a decade ago. In 2014 he started developing the world for it and it was meant to be a 30 minute pilot. What ended up happening was the show got delayed because of the pandemic, and the fact that it was pitched around various studios but got declined. Glitch has picked it up as one of the next indie shows, meaning it’ll get a pilot and perhaps a full season. We can get a gist of the story based on a 2016 animation test posted by ross. We see Kit welding and hanging out with some cute companions. We also see a few battle sequences against some sci fi enemies. My first thought watching this is it reminds me alot of mega man or ratchet and clank. If you’ve played the game ratchet and clank rift apart you’ll know what i mean. Personally i think it looks awesome. It’s got all traits of a glitch show, though it will be interesting to see glitch juggle so many projects at once.
