Hi Guys👋 Welcome Back To Another Video "Swans And Ducks In Lake Raphael Park Romford London 🏴" Raphael Park is a public park in Gidea Park, Romford, in the London Borough of Havering, UK. It is pronounced, "Ra-fai-el." Between Romford and Gidea Park, it is one of a number of parks that extend northward from the railway line. Raphael Park's southern entrance can be found on Main Road, which was formerly known as Hare Street. The northern entrance can be found just south of A12 Eastern Avenue. Black's Brook, a small stream that was dammed where the park meets Main Road to create a lake 12–20 feet deep and known as Black's Canal prior to the park's creation, forms the park's western boundary. The dam itself is just inside the park, next to the Black's Bridge, an 18th-century bridge that carries Main Road. The park is part of the parkland that used to surround Gidea Hall. The park is named after Sir Herbert Raphael MP, who donated it to the Romford Urban District in 1904. In addition to the lake, which is used for angling, the park offers several amenities. Raphael Park has two ancient Pedunculate Oaks that have been recorded by the Woodland Trust. There is a bandstand in the southern part of the park, and a rockery that the Romford Summer Theatre uses is near the end of the lake. Beyond this point, the park widens to the east, and there are sports pitches (for football in the winter and cricket in the summer) and sunken tennis courts. The sunken nature of the tennis courts is reputed to be the result of sand being dug there for use in the construction of the surrounding houses. 🔴 Subscribe Here: https://www.youtube.com/@limitlessexploration1940 👍 Like the video (it helps a ton!) 💬 Comment below to share your opinion! 🔗 Share the video with anyone you think might help :) ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ 🎬SUGGESTED VIDEO Don't forget to watch 📽 Our other video.
