Durability Passports are usually valid for a specific number of years. Most passports are valid for 10 years. After it has expired, you will be required to renew it to visit other countries. Visas are usually valid for the specific period you are to stay in a country. Your stay will be specified on the visa sticker depending on the type of visa. After your visa has expired, you will not be able to reside legally in that country. Therefore, Passports are valid for a longer term as compared to visas.
