And to spice things up a bit, we're going on a little memory trip down the lane, to one of my favorite childhood education games as a kid. It was called "Jumpstart Adventures 4th Grade: Haunted Island". It was part of a series of education video games called Jumpstart. I use to play some of them as a kid like Spelling, Reading for 2nd Graders and 5th Grade. 4th Grade however, stood out to me the most for its spooky nature. For those who don't know. Haunted Island is a game a witch named Ms Grunkle who transformed many fourth graders into monsters. One fourth grader (which is the player) who missed that day of school, now finds themself on Haunted Island. In order to change the children back and defeat Ms. Grunkle, the player must go through a series of tasks given by Madame Pomreeda and spooky activities which are based on several school subjects like the Spider's Web for Spelling, The Cemetary for Grammar and The Mummy's Tomb for History. Since I was one of the players of the game, I have finally returned to the Island after nearly 30 years. But rather than going to the game the traditional way, I see that Ms. Grunkle has kidnapped a new batch of characters and has transformed them into monsters themselves. It is up to me to break that spell, with a little help from a few extra friends. Starting at 12:30am Malaysian time (12:30pm EST and 9:30am PST), ask me to draw any characters going through these activities, whether they are the creatures like a spider, vampire or toad, or dressing up as them, or just them in their regular forms.
