Microsoft Excel Tutorial: Bullet point in Excel. Welcome to another episode of the MrExcel Netcast, where we bring you the best tips and tricks for mastering Excel. In today's episode, we will be discussing the quickest and easiest way to add bullets in Excel. This is a common formatting technique that can make your data more visually appealing and organized. So let's dive in and learn how to do it in just a few simple steps. In the past, I have covered various methods for adding bullets in Excel, but I recently learned a new and faster way from one of our viewers, Robert B from Palm Harbor, FL. Instead of using the traditional methods such as inserting symbols or using formulas, we will be using a shortcut that will save you time and effort. So let's get started and see how it works. First, let's forget about all the old methods and focus on the new and improved way to add bullets. If you have a number keypad on your computer, this will be even easier for you. Simply hold down the Alt key and press 7 on the number keypad. This will automatically insert a bullet in your cell. It's that simple! No more wasting time searching for symbols or typing out formulas. This shortcut will make your life so much easier. But what if you have a large number of cells that you want to add bullets to? Don't worry, we have a solution for that too. Simply select all the cells you want to format, and then press Ctrl+1 or go to the Home tab and click on the dialogue launcher. This will open the Format Cells window. From there, go to the Custom category and type in Alt+7, followed by a space and the @ symbol. This will tell Excel to add a bullet, followed by the text in the cell. Click OK and voila! All your cells now have bullets. How amazing and efficient is that?
