Their first two albums, “Motels” and “Careful” reached the US album chart but charted higher in Australia. “Total Control” was a track from “Motels” and, although not a US Hit, it made the Top-10 in Australia. The picture sleeve shown here is from the British 45. The sax player is Jeff Jourard’s brother, Marty. The group and Martha Davis as a solo artist continued to make hit albums and singles up until the late 80s, with Martha Davis’ solo offering “Don’t Tell Me The Time” reaching # 8 in Australia in 1987. The producer here, John Carter, went on to produce some of the tracks on Tina Turner’s very successful 1984 album, “Private Dancer”.
