Evil Nun The Broken Mask is an amazing game in the escape horror genre. Probably the most famous game of this genre is Granny, but I believe that Evil Nun The Broken Mask is the improved version as its pretty much better in all elements. It looks great with the help of the Unreal Engine and it is absolutely fantastic how the same map gets expanded with new areas to explore with each update you play. Its really cool to familiarize yourself with the map and yet have these new areas that peak your curiosity and sense of exploration. The premise of the game is simple: we are captured by an evil nun and have to escape the building. In order to do this we have to solve various puzzles that involve finding and collecting certain items. Once you escape for the first time you can try again and this time something will be added to the map like a new area where you can explore and escape in a different way. Eventually you are tasked with finding various mask pieces around the school and in order to get these you have to solve specific puzzles. These are great and varied and each mission feels distinctly different. One mission will have you run through a maze in order to make a potion while another mission has you collecting items in order to build an explosive doll. The large scale of the map and its beautiful atmosphere and detail are what makes the game so great since you will be running through that same map over and over again. Controls are tight and fluid and overall I think Evil Nun The Broken Mask is the best game in its genre. You can fully customize the difficulty and even start with this if you have never played something like this and still have a great time.
