In this video I am taking my vintage barn find, abandoned Honda ATC250R three wheeler for a test rip and ride! I didn't want to spend a lot of money quite yet since I am not sure if I want to do a complete restoration yet. I just did a clutch cable replacement, I fixed the throttle cable with a new replacement off eBay. I also swapped the 14 tooth sprocket with a 12T. The last part I needed to get the trike moving was a 520 chain. I found a spare 38mm Keihin carb in the parts pile. I am going to rebuild it in the future if you think the bigger carb will work on the 250R. Vintage Honda 3 Wheeler Restorations are a blast aren't they? The cables on the bike were completely rusted so I needed to replace the cables with new parts from eBay and Amazon. The original 12 tooth sprocket had 4 teeth broken off of it. The rear hub needs new bearings and seals, the rear sprocket was work and this was only the beginning of the problems with this hunk of junk. I gave a little sneak peek of how I got the rust off of the expansion chamber muffler with a little Loctite Naval Jelly from O'Riely Auto. I might remove the rust with the Naval Jelly or Citric Acid in a future video. The oil was a little milky and had some water in it from sitting outside all of these decades so I changed the oil with some Quaker State 10-40 and gave the engine a few heat cycles and then wen for a spin! How was the RIDE? BE sure to watch the whole video to see how it went !!!! Please share my videos with your friends and on social media if you received any entertainment value!!! Thanks again and see you soon for the rest of the rebuild! 0:00 - Intro 2:00 - Installing New Parts 10:32 - Let's RIDE ! 13:58 - Future Plans for the Trike -------------------------------------------------------------- All Bigfoot Bikes and Brews content is for entertainment purposes only.
