How to Make A Hydraulic Brake Project - Disk Braking - Inspire Award Science Project - Hydraulic Disk Braking System #diypandit #howtomake #hydraulic #breakproject #diskbreak #scienceproject #diypandit #inspireaward #inspireawardproject Hydraulic brakes are used in cars, buses, trucks, motorcycles, and bicycles. They work on Pascal's Law, which states that pressure applied to a confined liquid is transmitted equally in all directions. Aim ==== The aim of this project is to demonstrate: The working of a hydraulic brake system. Pascal's Law. How force is transferred through a liquid. Working Principle ============== This model works on Pascal's Law. When pressure is applied to one syringe, the water inside the tube transfers the pressure to the other syringe. The second syringe moves forward and presses against the rotating wheel, stopping it just like a real hydraulic brake. Demonstration ============= Step 1 This motor rotates the wheel continuously. The wheel represents the wheel of a vehicle. Step 2 The two syringes are connected with a tube filled with water. Water cannot be compressed easily. Step 3 When I press this syringe, the water transfers the pressure through the tube. Step 4 The second syringe moves forward. It pushes the brake pad against the wheel. The wheel slows down and finally stops. Step 5 When I release the syringe, the pressure decreases, and the brake is released. The wheel starts rotating again. Viva Questions and Answers 1. What is the title of your project? Answer: Hydraulic Brakes Working Model. 2. Which law does this model demonstrate? Answer: Pascal's Law. 3. State Pascal's Law. Answer: Pressure applied to a confined liquid is transmitted equally in all directions. 4. Why is water used in this model? Answer: Water transfers pressure effectively because it is nearly incompressible. 5. Why are hydraulic brakes better than mechanical brakes? Answer: They require less force, provide smoother braking, and distribute pressure evenly. 6. What represents the brake pedal in this model? Answer: The first syringe. 7. What represents the brake pad? Answer: The second syringe. 8. Why does the wheel stop? Answer: The second syringe presses against the rotating wheel due to hydraulic pressure. 9. Where are hydraulic brakes used? Answer: Cars, motorcycles, buses, trucks, tractors, and aircraft. 10. Can gases be used instead of liquids? Answer: No. Gases are compressible, while liquids are nearly incompressible and transfer pressure more effectively. 11. What happens if air enters the hydraulic brake system? Answer: Braking becomes weak because air compresses easily, reducing pressure transfer. 12. What is the main advantage of hydraulic brakes? Answer: A small applied force can produce a much larger braking force, making braking safer and more efficient.
