“Just be positive.” “Focus on the good.” “Raise your vibration.” I’ve heard all of it. And during some of the hardest moments of my life, none of it helped me. In this video, I’m talking about why “just be positive” never worked for me—especially while navigating serious mental illness, overwhelming emotions, and a deeply spiritual inner world. Because sometimes I didn’t need someone to tell me to change my thoughts. I needed someone to sit with me in the reality of what I was experiencing. I needed compassion. I needed support. I needed permission to say, “This is hard,” without someone immediately trying to turn my pain into a spiritual lesson. For me, healing didn’t begin when I forced myself to think positively. It began when I learned how to be honest. ✨ “I’m struggling today.” ✨ “My mind feels loud.” ✨ “I need help.” ✨ “I don’t know what this means yet.” And here’s the strange part… Once I stopped fighting every uncomfortable emotion, hope started showing up naturally. Not forced positivity. Real hope. The kind of hope that can sit beside grief, fear, confusion, and uncertainty without pretending they aren’t there. I still believe in spirituality. I still believe in meaning. I still believe transformation can come from difficult experiences. But I don’t believe we have to smile our way through suffering to prove we’re healing. Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can say is: “This hurts.” And then let someone sit beside you while you figure out what comes next. If you’ve ever felt guilty because positive thinking didn’t “fix” you, this conversation is for you. 💜 - Cüpid Aröz Absolutely 💜 Here are hashtags focused on toxic positivity, spiritual bypassing, mental health, and authentic healing: #JustBePositive #ToxicPositivity #SpiritualBypassing #AuthenticHealing #MentalHealthAndSpirituality #GroundedSpirituality #MentalHealthAwareness #HealingJourney #RealHealing #BeyondTheDiagnosis #InnerWorldMatters #PsychosisAndSpirituality #SchizophreniaAwareness #LivingWithSchizophrenia #MentalHealthRecovery #EmotionalHealing #FeelYourFeelings #ItsOkayToStruggle #HealingIsNotLinear #HolisticMentalHealth #MeaningMaking #DepthPsychology #TranspersonalPsychology #BothAnd #ThirdCircle #HealingWithCompassion #CüpidAröz #ForcedPositivity #RealHope #SpiritualMentalHealth
