We're not ourselves when we're hungry, so Josh made us a Snickers Gingerbread Man (recipe below). GMMore #1443 Snickers Gingerbread Man Recipe Makes 8 large cookies Active time: 25 minutes Total time: 4 hours 55 minutes 2 snickers bars 1 egg Âź cup molasses 2 cups flour 1 ½ teaspoons cocoa powder 1 teaspoon ground ginger ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon ½ teaspoon baking soda ½ cup dark brown sugar ½ cup softened butter Peanuts, caramel sauce, and extra Snickers bars to garnish Finely dice the Snickers bars then throw them in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high for 30 seconds, until the chocolate becomes pliable and slightly melted. Add molasses, egg, and melty Snickers to the bowl of a food processor and process on high for one minute, until fully incorporated. Set aside. Whisk flour, cocoa powder, ginger, cinnamon, and baking soda in a large mixing bowl and set aside. Combine brown sugar and butter in the bowl of a stand mixer and mix on medium speed until creamy. Add the snickers, molasses, and egg mixture to the butter mixture and mix on medium speed for 30 seconds before gradually turning mixer speed to low and gradually beating in your flour mixture. When the dough is well mixed, remove from the mixer bowl, shape into a flat disc, and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate the dough for 4 hours. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Remove dough from the fridge then roll out to Âź inch thickness on a floured work surface. Use a gingerbread man mold to cut out the shapes, then transfer to a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes, until cookies start to brown. Remove from the oven, let cool for 30 minutes, then add your decorations. Be artistic about it.
