That is the mistake. You are not preparing for one exam, you are preparing twelve subjects, and each one has an hour cost. Indian Geography alone takes 50 to 60 hours with a teacher. Guided preparation crosses 1,000 hours. Self study crosses 2,000. A 2028 aspirant has roughly 17 to 18 months. This video puts those two numbers next to each other and builds the plan backwards from there. The month by month plan: - First 6 months: foundation in Geography, Polity, Economy and History, in that order and for a reason - Why Geography comes first: once it is done, the newspaper starts making sense and Environment becomes easy - Daily minimum: 2 to 3 hours of class plus 1 to 3 hours of your own revision - April to June 2027: Mains specific subjects, World History, Post Independence, Society, Governance, IR, Internal Security, Disaster Management and Ethics - Newspaper starts January 2027 - October to December 2027: full revision, second round of MCQs and PYQs, test series, answer writing - January 2028 onward: final phase, 15 day revision slots per subject, from notes only The subject process, repeated for every subject: Attend the class and make running notes, then read only the topic covered in the recommended book and update your notes, then solve questions and note every mistake, then write a one page summary. At exam time you revise only the summary. Prelims and Mains are covered together, not one after the other. Doing Prelims first and Mains later is wasted time. You will not read volcanoes twice. Three things aspirants get wrong, covered at the end: - CSAT: do not treat it lightly. Give each topic six to seven days, not one. - Revision: if you do not have notes, revision gets skipped. Notes are built from day one for this reason. - Current Affairs: do not fear it and do not hype it. Keep subject wise current affairs notes so Geography CA sits with Geography. For 2029 aspirants: the same sequence applies with one extra year of buffer at the foundation stage. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ TIMESTAMPS 0:00 Why this video, and how to use it 0:50 You are not preparing for UPSC, you are preparing 12 subjects 1:32 The hours each subject actually costs 2:11 Proof: what a full comprehensive course looks like 3:04 Self study reality, 1,000 to 2,000 hours 4:01 The month by month roadmap begins 4:15 First 6 months: which subjects and in what order 4:47 Daily hours you need to make this work 5:35 How much time a 2028 aspirant really has left 7:18 Building the foundation 7:33 Geography, then Polity, then Economy, and why that order 8:14 The process to follow for every subject 8:32 Class plus running notes 8:43 Reading the book, only the topic covered 8:57 Questions, and updating notes from mistakes 9:08 How to structure notes in three parts plus a summary 9:51 Revising old subjects while studying new ones 10:19 April to June 2027: the Mains specific subjects 11:00 When to start the newspaper 11:28 October November 2027: revision and test series 12:00 Answer writing practice 12:13 Why Prelims and Mains must be integrated 12:50 The December 2027 checkpoint 13:28 January 2028: the final phase 14:02 15 day revision slots 14:24 Three things you must not forget 14:33 CSAT 15:09 Revision 15:20 Current Affairs 16:03 The complete plan in one recap Subscribe and turn on notifications for the full UPSC Geography and strategy series. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ #UPSC2028 #UPSC2029 #UPSCStrategy #SudarshanGurjar #UPSCRoadmap #UPSCPreparation #UPSC2028Strategy #UPSCBeginners #UPSCStudyPlan #CSAT #UPSCNotes #UPSCCSE #IASPreparation #Unacademy #UPSC upsc 2028 strategy sudarshan gurjar, sudarshan gurjar strategy, sudarshan gurjar strategy for upsc, upsc preparation from zero by sudarshan gurjar, upsc 2028 strategy, upsc 2028 roadmap, upsc 2029 strategy, upsc 2029 roadmap, upsc 2028 preparation, upsc 2 year strategy, upsc strategy for beginners 2028,upsc study plan for 2028,18 months upsc strategy, upsc 2028 strategy hindi medium, upsc notes kaise banaye, csat strategy upsc, upsc revision strategy, upsc roadmap for beginners, upsc 2028
