Prof. Kaushal Verma is Professor of Mathematics and Dean of the Division of Physical and Mathematical sciences at Indian Institute of Science Bangalore. His research interests include Complex Analysis, Dynamical systems and ergodic theory. Kaushal Verma graduated with a B. Tech in Engineering Physics from IIT Bombay in 1992 and subsequently obtained a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Indiana University, Bloomington in 1999, and was a Research Assistant Professor at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor before returning to India to join IISc in 2004. He is a recipient of the Swarnajayanti fellowship and the SS Bhatnagar prize.
