How To Treat A Second Degree Burn At Home. I know second degree burns can be scary and painful. Take it one day at a time. My treatment at home was done very diligently and it took about 45 minutes for each re-bandaging for the first few weeks. After the first two weeks it only took about 10-15 minutes. Products I used to treat my burn: Dial Hand Soap: https://amzn.to/2Kg88LO Saline Wound Wash (I went through 10-20 cans): https://amzn.to/2MbQne7 Sterile Applicators: https://amzn.to/2ls5VPp NonAdherent Pad: https://amzn.to/2MbX7sv Non-Stick Pad: https://amzn.to/2tjSfKH Bandage Rolls: https://amzn.to/2MeiskV Bandage Wrap: https://amzn.to/2MPA1c5 (AFTER WOUND HEALS... 2 WEEKS) Gloves: https://amzn.to/2MS5pqG (AFTER WOUND HEALS... 2 WEEKS) Cover Glove: https://amzn.to/2lt9wNr Athletic Tape: https://amzn.to/2tw6coa PROCESS - The process I used to dress the wound. Before going to the doctor I went to Walgreens/CVS to purchase bacitrycin ointment to relieve the pain. I purchased the non-stick pads and then wrapped the hand in the gauze and then wrapped it in the Bandage Rolls. To keep the bandage rolls in place I put the bandage wrap overtop. Once I saw a doctor he prescribed me Silvadene cream. It was a white cream that was to help with the pain and bacteria. Once the wound was popped, I applied the silvadene cream with the wooden sterile applicators. If your product does not come individually prepackaged then its probably not sterile. Before starting the application I would debread the wound with the saline wound wash. This would wash away any dead skin and reduce infection. I wound gently wash my hands with the antibacterial soap and then let it air dry and put the silvadene cream on. Once the silvadene cream was on each blister I placed the NonAdherent Pad on the largest blister. After the large blister was covered I wrapped my entire hand in the bandage roll I put the bandage wrap overtop everything to keep it in place. Once the wound healed enough to not feel sticky I started using the doctor recommended method of just the lunch lady glove (about two weeks). I would wash my hands thoroughly with the Dial Antibacterial Soap and apply the silvadene cream with the sterile applicators. I carefully put a glove on my hands and then wrapped the wrist portion with the athletic tape to keep the glove in place. To be able to not have people stare at me all day I purchased a white cloth glove to put over the plastic glove. Disclaimer: The information in the video is for educational purposes.
