In today’s episode of Cities: Skylines 2, our city was facing a massive shortage of raw materials, so we did the unthinkable—we built a real-life inspired Giant Diamond Mining Empire! 💎🚜 First, I scouted the map to locate the richest diamond deposits. From there, taking heavy inspiration from real-world open-pit diamond mines, we carved out a massive stepped crater, brought in heavy machinery, and named our mega-facility. But diamonds weren't enough—we expanded the industrial zone with coal and stone mining operations to ensure our city never runs out of basic resources! To run this massive operation, we needed a dedicated workforce. So, we founded a brand-new mining village nearby, laid down high-capacity Cargo Train Terminals to ship precious ore straight to our factories, and built a dedicated passenger rail corridor to bring workers directly from the nearby metropolis. We also balanced out new residential zones and commercial markets to keep the town thriving. In the second half, our booming population hit a major crisis: citizens started protesting over High Rent complaints!
