It's been a couple weeks since the last NCS album collaboration level, but now we're back for a few more. See the "BUTTON MASHER" teaser on my channel for some hints. Now we have "Duckstep" by Knots, and he was one of the most guessed in the original album teaser, shown with a duck, due to his unique style. That is nearly 3 months ago now, so it's been teased for a little while. I've personally been really excited for this one, just because of how good Knots levels always are. As you could see in the teaser and song name, and hear in the song if you've heard it already, this has a duck theme. It was a bit of an odd request to make to Knots at first, but given his great art style and track record making epic levels, it didn't seem too crazy that he could execute it well. The result is incredibly good, and probably even better than I expected. There are lots of funny and varied ducks to be found around in the level, with the mecha one shown from 0:46 being my personal favorite, but the surrounding visuals also fit surprisingly well. Many of these go into construction and general technological theming, which is something I didn't expect alongside the ducks originally. The overall art and colors are of course great as expected from Knots. Visually, I wouldn't be surprised if this is some people's favorite NCS album level so far. In terms of gameplay, I think this should be quite clear and thus nice to play. There are a few unique moments, such as the "quack" made out of yellow orbs at 0:27, spider orbs in ship at 0:49, and more. However, these should be fine to read on your first attempt, while fitting the goofy nature of the theme well. This level's target difficulty was Insane 8 Stars, and I think Knots did that well.
