I go through the patch notes, then jump straight into live gameplay - one knockout game and one ranked game - trying out a brand new tactic (4-3-2-1) for the first time, live on camera. Patch highlights: reworked dribbling touch cadence (meant to nerf spinning, though it doesn't feel like much of a nerf if you stay off the sprint button), improved skill move input responsiveness, a physical barge/tackle nerf, reworked goalkeeper saves, and supposedly better long-range shots. Also going through the 4-3-2-1 tactic and role setup in detail - poachers up top, an inverted fullback, playmaker roles in midfield - and how I've set it up to keep my defensive shape while still getting runners forward. Honest take after both games: I don't think the core issues are fixed yet. Switching still costs you chances in fast-paced moments, and goalkeepers are bailing out shots that should be goals when you're clean through - which matters a lot at higher SR, where the margins are already tight. The dribbling/spin nerf also doesn't feel like it changes much if you're not using the sprint button. On the positive side - the new tactics and the new challenges are genuinely good additions, I just want the core gameplay (switching, manual defending reward, keeper consistency) sorted before the upcoming esports tournament.
