I never planned to share this publicly — but these were the three worst AFib episodes of my life, and they changed everything. 📘 My AFib Story — Book If this video resonated with you, I’ve written a memoir about my journey with atrial fibrillation called AFib Patient: A Memoir of Trusting Your Heart Again. 👉 Amazon (Kindle & paperback): https://amzn.to/3YjRMq6 A portion of book sales are donated to charity. January 2026 proceeds support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Disclosure: This is an Amazon affiliate link. In this video, I walk through the three atrial fibrillation episodes that terrified me the most — moments that broke me emotionally and ultimately pushed me to say yes to ablation and fight for my life back. This isn’t medical advice. It’s my lived experience. I share: My first AFib episode at work, climbing the stairs when my heart suddenly went into chaos The 15-hour AFib episode that lasted all night and left me afraid to fall asleep The episode that finally broke me — sitting in a hospital waiting room while my three-year-old was under anesthesia At the time, I had paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, meaning episodes came and went on their own. But that didn’t make them any less terrifying. Each episode chipped away at my confidence, my sense of safety, and my ability to live normally. Eventually, these moments led me to a life-changing decision: catheter ablation. Today, I’m nearly five years AFib-free, and I share this story for anyone who feels scared, isolated, or unsure what to do next. If you’re living with AFib, questioning treatment options, or struggling with the mental toll of unpredictable episodes — you’re not alone. 💬 If you’ve had your own worst AFib episode, I’d love to hear your story in the comments. ⚠️ Disclaimer This channel shares personal experience only and does not provide medical advice.
