What you just read and heard here is something I'll probably be doing from now in should I jump start a career making videos here in light of the YouTube and COPPA/FTC event. I never had a problem with kids watching my content but in this current debacle I can't be too careful with how I must prioratize my target audience, since kids are not really my intended audience, mind you that doesn't mean kids can't watch my videos but at the same time, they're NOT for them specifically. I see my self as a "General Audience" kind'a guy, but because we don't have a General Audience option I have not other choice but to label my content as "Not for kids." (Inspite of how redundent and arbitrary it may be) But I am also aware that even then, that won't stop kids from watching anyway, partly because well... let's be honest other people's children aren't my responsibility. Sure it's my responsibility to be cautious of who I'm exposing my videos to, but it's still not my responsibility to monitor your own kids, no offense to any parents to teachers. I can't even add paid promotion to this particular video without worrying it may advertise something "for kids" leaving me at the mercy of a robotic system that can get me in trouble. Then again I may not be looking to monitize my content anyway, I just want to entertain people, and hopefully someone will find my videos and hire me as either an artist, writer, animator, or even a voice actor. I still hope for the best though. Hopefully this recent situation can be reprimanded.
