This is the greatest gaming achievement I have ever accomplished. It took 75,000 attempts over nearly 5 years. The Mike Tyson fight requires an incredible amount of luck and execution. I hit all 21 frame perfect punches (1/60th of a second), hit 10 perfect dodges and ducks, and got luck that has somewhere around a 1/7,000 - 1/10,000 chance of occurring. The fight is broken up into "phases", with Tyson's knockdowns marking the end of each phase. I played very well during phases 1 and 2, losing only 6 frames across all 16 dodges/ducks , while hitting all 14 frame perfect punches. Tyson also gave me a perfect pattern with no delays, which is a 1/1600 pattern. I then played perfectly during phase 3, hitting all 7 frame perfect punches, while Tyson gave me a fairly fast but not perfect pattern. The game only tells you the whole second of the Tyson fight, but by framecounting using a tool developed by Omnigamer, you can figure out your decimal and exact frame. It turns out that this fight was a 1:59.97, occurring on the 3rd frame of the .97 increment. The TAS of this fight is 1:58.61. The difference between this record and the TAS comes from the TAS doing a few more difficult ducks to save 7 frames, the TAS dodging and ducking all uppercuts frame perfectly to save 6 frames, and the TAS getting perfect luck in phase 3 to save 16 frames. I've been trying for a 1:59 on Tyson ever since I got the first ever 2:00 in July 2020. In the past 4 and a half years, I've replicated that 2:00 a total of 15 times, and got over a hundred close call 2:01 and 2:02 fights as well. There's essentially no difference between all of those fights and this one, except I got better luck from Tyson on this fight. Finally, after nearly half a decade, the 1:59 has happened. I have no plans to ever improve this time. It will be beaten by somebody one day, likely by matching this fight and then getting better luck in phase 3. I have no interest in competing for that, but am extremely proud to have gotten the first sub 2 ever on Mike Tyson.
