Psychology of Social Intelligence: How to Read Anyone Instantly --- 🧠 Want to go deeper than the videos? šŸ“˜ ā€œWork With Your Mindā€ is a PsychToons manual for building discipline, staying calm, and learning faster — all backed by real research. šŸš€ Get your copy here: https://psychtoons.gumroad.com/l/workwithyourmind --- In this video, we break down the psychology of social intelligence and why reading people is harder, and more learnable, than it looks. We start with Edward Thorndike, who named social intelligence in 1920, and David Funder's Realistic Accuracy Model, which shows that an accurate read is a chain of four links that can snap at any point. Then we walk through the three misreads almost everyone makes. Janine Willis and Alexander Todorov showed how fast we judge faces, and Christopher Olivola and Todorov found that those judgments made people less accurate. Richard Wiseman's team tested the famous eye-movement lie detection rule and found nothing. Edward Jones and Victor Harris, along with Walter Mischel and Yuichi Shoda, showed why one scene tells you so little about a person. Which of the three misreads do you fall into most? Reading the face, trusting the cheat sheet, or judging someone by a single scene? Tell me in the comments. If this video changed how you see the people around you, like it and share it with someone who has been quietly judged by their worst day. #psychology #socialintelligence #readingpeople #firstimpressions #psychtoons Research referenced: - Thorndike, E.
