And I tried to blame it all on things other than myself. 2021 was one of the hardest years of my life Before last year i had never once questioned why i do what i do and if it matters to the world But i’d wake up and for the first time in a long time I wouldn’t want to push my creativity. That seemingly unlimited supply of drive that had gotten me to this point in my life had disappeared. But it’s in those times where you fail to see your own progress And you feel stuck for months on end That you learn the most about yourself. Life has a humorous way of dangling what we want in front of our faces And using it to teach us that we’re looking in the wrong direction every bad situation whether i walked into it, or it chose me - was delivered to help me get to where i need to be. it’ll never be easy But i’ll always remind myself that everything is going to be okay. Because through everything I find peace in the fact that I made someone feel something this past year. And that’s the point of all art right. To make you feel something. To make you cry To make you smile To make you motivated To make you want to chase your own dreams And not feel as alone. Because we’re all alone in a sense And all lonely from time to time. I spent 365 days trying to escape the pressures that my own mind created. But there is no pressure. There’s no timeline to creativity. My goal here is to make someone out there now, or years from now feel something So in reality, nothing else should matter. So I’ll tell myself that I have time And that it’s okay to be a little lost. Because When you feel like you have no time left, you probably are just at the beginning of everything.
