India’s Most Mysterious Warrior । Indraprastha Could anyone imagine that the ruler of Uzbekistan was once afraid of an ordinary Indian woman? Ram Pyari Gurjar was born around 1378 AD in the region around Meerut and Haridwar in Uttar Pradesh. From childhood, she was passionate about physical exercise and wrestling. According to some accounts, she was exceptionally strong and also knew how to fight in battles. Then, in 1398 AD, Timur invaded India and captured Delhi. It is said that Timur was hostile towards Hindus and particularly targeted their religious places. Because of this, he also turned his attention towards Haridwar and the surrounding regions. When news of Timur's invasion reached Ram Pyari Gurjar's village, the local people called a grand assembly, known as a Mahapanchayat. During this assembly, Mahabali Jograj Singh Gurjar was chosen as the chief commander. And just 20-year-old Ram Pyari Gurjar was appointed the commander of the women's army. Just imagine how brave she must have been to be entrusted with the responsibility of leading an army of 40,000 women at the age of just 20! On the other side, Timur was rapidly advancing with an army of 150,000 soldiers. His aim was to conquer the entire Indian subcontinent. Ram Pyari Gurjar knew that the upcoming battle would not be easy. Despite this, she prepared 40,000 women soldiers for war in a very short time. Then, when Timur fought the battle, he suffered a crushing defeat. According to these accounts, Ram Pyari Gurjar's women's army fought in a way that Timur had never imagined. According to an article published in Dainik Jagran, 20-year-old Ram Pyari Gurjar drove Timur's army back from Meerut all the way to Haridwar. The article also states that Timur suffered an injury to his chest during this battle. It further claims that this injury led to Timur's death in 1405 AD and that the entire incident is mentioned in the 15th-century book Zafarnama. Ram Pyari Gurjar was one of India's brave heroines whose story of courage was lost somewhere in the pages of history. Today, very few people know her name. So, what do you think about the story of Ram Pyari Gurjar?
