What's your favorite and/or LEAST favorite execution of this trope? Sometimes I wonder if the Justice League episode "Hereafter" was a specific counter to the common fan argument that Superman is the only useless member of the League when he loses his powers (Wonder Woman being a highly trained warrior, GL being a marine, etc). He handled himself pretty well stranded powerless on a hostile alienish world for weeks - plus he grew that fantastic beard!
