The second video is about beautiful buildings and interesting facts about them. The first one you can find here Video link@https://youtu.be/GUHPVFij9aY Those 10 buildings are Hagia Sofia, Guggenheim Museum, the Sydney Opera House, the Taj Mahal, The Colosseum, Burj Khalifa, The louvre Museum, The Sagrada Familia and the Louvre Museum, I tried to describe the weird facts about these buildings. Those 10 buildings are Hagia Sofia, Guggenheim Museum, the Sydney Opera House, the Taj Mahal, The Colosseum, Burj Khalifa, The Louvre Museum, The Sagrada Familia, and the Louvre Museum. Here are some weird facts about these buildings: - Hagia Sofia was built as a Christian church in the 6th century by the Byzantine emperor Justinian I, but it was converted into a mosque by the Ottoman Turks in 1453. It remained a mosque until 1935 when it was turned into a museum by the Turkish Republic. In 2020, it was reconverted into a mosque again by a controversial decision of the Turkish government. - Guggenheim Museum is a spiral-shaped building designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in New York City. It was completed in 1959, six months after Wright's death. The building is considered one of the landmarks of modern architecture, but it also faced criticism for its unconventional design and its impact on the surrounding neighborhood. - The Sydney Opera House is a stunning structure with sail-like roofs that overlooks the Sydney Harbour. It was designed by Jorn Utzon, a Danish architect who won an international competition in 1957. However, Utzon resigned from the project in 1966 due to conflicts with the government over the budget and the design. He never returned to Australia to see his masterpiece completed in 1973. - The Taj Mahal is a white marble mausoleum built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, who died in childbirth in 1631. The building is considered one of the wonders of the world, but it also has a dark side. According to legend, Shah Jahan ordered the hands of the workers who built the Taj Mahal to be cut off, so that they could never create anything as beautiful again. - The Colosseum is a massive amphitheater in Rome that was built by the Roman emperors Vespasian and Titus in the 1st century AD. It was used for gladiator fights, animal hunts, executions and other spectacles that entertained up to 80,000 spectators. The Colosseum also had a complex system of underground tunnels and chambers where animals and prisoners were kept before being released into the arena. - Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world, standing at 828 meters (2,717 feet) high. It was completed in 2010 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The building has 163 floors and more than 30,000 apartments, offices, hotels and restaurants. It also has some unusual features, such as a fountain that shoots water up to 150 meters (492 feet) high, and an elevator that travels at 10 meters (33 feet) per second. - The Louvre Museum is one of the largest and most visited museums in the world, located in Paris, France. It was originally a fortress built by King Philip II in the 12th century, then a royal palace until the French Revolution. It became a museum in 1793, and today it houses more than 35,000 artworks, including the famous Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci. - The Sagrada Familia is a basilica designed by Antoni Gaudi in Barcelona, Spain. It is one of the most iconic examples of Catalan modernism, but it is also unfinished. Gaudi started working on it in 1883, but he died in 1926 after being hit by a tram. The construction of the basilica has been slow and interrupted by wars, financial problems, and technical challenges. It is estimated that it will be completed by 2026, on the centenary of Gaudi's death. - The Louvre Museum appears twice on this list because it has two different locations: one in Paris and one in Abu Dhabi. The Louvre Abu Dhabi is a branch of the original Louvre that opened in 2017. It is located on an artificial island and has a dome-shaped roof that creates a rain of light effect inside. The museum displays artworks from various cultures and civilizations, aiming to promote dialogue and diversity.
