We lost our baby. Six days ago we walked into Therine's third ultrasound, expecting to meet our beautiful twelve week old baby... we were filled with so much love, so much joy. It was supposed to be the day we share that we were expecting... but that never happened. We are beyond devastated. Our baby's heartbeat was gone. This has been the hardest, saddest, and most difficult week of our lives... nothing in life prepares you for this. The joy of hearing our baby at eight weeks with that beautiful heartbeat. The love that we shared planning life together as a family. In just a moment... everything was taken away. It is the most crushing feeling typing this right now. We are grieving. Both of us have just felt "numb" this past week. Things trigger intense moments of emotion. We are not okay... but we will be. We will be, because never in our lives have we felt what we felt the past twelve weeks... The love that baby brought us. The moments of happiness with family and friends. The togetherness we shared. We will always be grateful. It truly is the ultimate blessing to be able to get pregnant, and share that journey together with someone you love. We'd like to thank everyone who knew and shared moments of happiness with us. We'd like to thank all the medical professionals who helped us along this journey. And to "Baby J"...
