Welcome to the STUDIO!!!!!!! AHHHH!!!! I think I’m still in denial that this got done?? I had been waiting SO long for it to be the right time to do this - and now after a few years of living in our house, Ben and I have pretty much determined that if I wanted to keep making videos at the pace I was, it was definitely, definitely worth it to invest in my own soundproofed space. Anyone who has seen my bloopers knows… even though I moved out of the city, I am INUNDATED by constant sound interruptions (planes, wind, storms, lawn mowers being the most common, AND poor Satine & Ben who have to be UNMOVING when I’m filming - meaning Ben can’t take any calls, or do normal house tasks, or eat, or cook, or use the bathroom…) So much of my day was strategically trying to figure out WHEN I could film, and hope that it would actually work (often times it didn’t) - and Ben and my work schedule being split definitely sucked - he would finish his calls and I would have to START my work when it was film time! So the task was to find contractors that would be up for the job… and boy did I find the right people!!!!! I am really torn about the fact that I can’t credit them here, because obviously that would give away my location more than I’m personally comfortable with. However, if you’re a mutual, feel free to message me on any of my social media if you’re in the market, and I’d be happy to give you their info if you’re close :) But anyway - even though I’ll have to do it anonymously - I just wanted to say THANK YOU so much to the people who built this studio!! They were so awesome to work with and I truly cannot believe what they pulled off. We started actually building in February, and I moved in my stuff right at the end of May!! Crazy, right?? This has been a whirlwind of a year for me ANYWAY - so although I might seem like I’m not around as much anymore, I think I just haven’t mastered the ā€œupdate as you goā€ mentality and concentrate purely on the videos I’m making for you guys - which, I suppose, is not a bad priority to have haha. So here it is!! My intention is to do a VERY in depth tour/tutorial/etc on different parts of the studio once I get everything set. That’s been taking up most of my days - it’ll probably be quite a long process, but definitely worth it in the end! For now, it’s film-ready enough that I’ve been able to shoot things in here!!!! AND ITS AWESOME!!!!! AHHHHH!!! I’m so stoked. Assuming some people will ask about various brands of some things I showed, I can start making a list! I’ll denote any affiliate links - meaning if you decide to purchase after clicking on the link, I would get a cut! I’m not sure what I can make affiliate links of though lolol, so tbd. But my description box is already too long so imma have to figure that out... soon lol. Sooo much more I'm dying to talk about on the tech side - I didn’t even get into my cameras! I wanted this to be more of just a space tour - but I couldn’t help but sprinkle in some of the technical reasoning behind why I wanted the studio to be laid out how it was. So, enjoy this mildly chaotic tour, and I'll be sure to do more of a Q&A and in-depth explanation of various things as we go! HOPE YOU'RE READY FOR SOME MORE ASMR LOLLLLLLLLL Thank you all so much for being here, happy 7th anniversary of this channel! (': ~Gibi
