For years, we have seen companies promoting a shift from physical media (CDs, DVDs, etc) to a digital-only world. Streaming services are deleting customers' purchased content without a moment’s notice. Video game companies aren’t even bothering to put out consoles that have disc drives on them. It’s clear that companies want a world where they alone choose who gets to view their content, and when consumers get to view it. A digital-only world sets dangerous standards for our ownership rights as consumers. Today, I’m going to be discussing why I believe we are approaching a digital world faster than expected, and why this is anything but good. Let me know what you think. I hope you all enjoy the video! ✂︎— — — — — — — — — ➤Full Google Docs source list https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Dsx51M4p0z27vVEKTddzpC07ATmDrHt9UumBa_V6UMg/edit?usp=sharing ✓Related Videos✓ ➤@gremlita video on streaming https://youtu.be/TaIaYLvGPQI?si=Jexo6a_Y8BR_G9ib ➤@_jared video on Kindle https://youtu.be/xwU5xkXj7Kw?si=aW0yhpFl6CJwd0oW ➤@ThatOneVideoGamer video buying all Nintendo eShop games https://youtu.be/ujHUMG0Uovs?si=DNTu71Miy6eZJUUZ ➤@konbini Christopher Nolan and Cillian Murphy interview https://youtu.be/HLUe85q1hNM?si=p6Yg62ry9OJ3yqIu ➤@ReactEmUps video on physical games https://youtu.be/C-ypaVi5p04?si=OCdMP4b15Fou-VAF ✓Music Used✓ ➤“Light and Darkness/Zant’s Theme” - Twilight Princess OST ➤“Faron Woods” - Twilight Princess OST ➤“Kokiri Forest” - Ocarina of Time OST ➤Music from #Uppbeat (free for Creators!): https://uppbeat.io/t/dan-phillipson/making-progress License code: KE6TGT9EHZKCAXAI ➤Atlantis by Audionautix is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ ✓Socials✓ ➤Patreon https://www.patreon.com/LukeKono ➤Instagram https://www.instagram.com/luke_kono/ ➤TikTok https://www.tiktok.com/@lukekono ➤Twitter https://twitter.com/lukekono ➤Goodreads https://www.goodreads.com/lukekono ✓Extra Info✓ ➤Footage- iPhone 14 Pro Max ➤Audio Equipment- Rode NT1 5th Generation and Rode PSA 1 Boom Arm (iPhone 14 Pro Max audio used during certain footage) ➤Editing Software- Final Cut Pro on 2019 MacBook Pro ➤Thumbnail- Canva Pro “Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for ‘fair use’ for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarships, and research.
