First full test loop on Tesla FSD 14.2 in our Cybertruck on our Orlando area test loop. Same mixed route we’ve ran 13 and 14.1.7: backing out of a tight single-car garage (baddly), gated exit, rural two-lane, heavy I-4 traffic, an inverted diamond interchange, and a multi-lane right turn across fast traffic. Overall 14.2 feels noticeably smoother and less jumpy than 14.1.7, especially around random objects and minor road defects, but lane selection took a small step backwards. It’s still very human-like most of the time, with better confidence around debris and potholes, but it likes to hang in the “wrong” lane more than I’d prefer. I talk through where it’s great, where it’s still weird, and where I’d file bug reports for the team.
