Itinerary & details below! And all my outfits are linked in my Shopmy, including my backpack and makeup etc! Link is in my bio or below Outfit https://shopmy.us/shop/collections/2756989 Backpack - https://shopmy.us/shop/collections/6002280 This is part of my ongoing series exploring the quieter corners of Ć®le-de-France But truly truly truly, my favorite thing about living in Paris is how many amazing small towns are less than an hour away and just how easy and affordable it is to travel to them like Fontainebleau for just a day getaway! France is so much more than Paris, and places like this that exist less than an hour away are so easily accessible especially on a budget, so by doing these videos, I hope that I can inspire people to explore and enjoy all that France has to offer as many of these towns aren't being supported enough! Visiting while being mindful of locals, the environment, & small businesses not only supports these communities but also gives Paris a little space to breathe. šŸš‚Getting to Fontainebleau: → Take the metro to Gare de Lyon. → Hop on Ligne R towards Montargis (you can use the same €2.50 metro ticket for this train ride! Just validate it at the machines before boarding!). → Get off at Fontainebleau-Avon (about 40 minutes) From there, walk through the town & gardens to the chateau (around 30 minutes) or catch a quick bus. šŸ°The chĆ¢teau itself is breathtaking, more ornate, more historical, & less crowded than Versailles! Then, grab picnic supplies in town: šŸ„–Bread at Maison Deudon šŸ§€Cheese (don't miss the local Fontainebleau cheese -a mix of fromage blanc & whipped cream!) @la_ferme_des_sablons77 🄩Charcuterie at @boucherie_napoleon From the city, you can walk straight into the forest or take a quick €9 uber to go deeper. You don't have to go as far as we did, there are plenty of beautiful trails nearby the city. We took an 8-minute ride from the chĆ¢teau to Parking des Gorges de Franchard RandonnĆ©e. Then it's a 15min walk to the panoramic view near L'Escargot, just follow the blue markers! Fontainebleau is an easy half day trip from Paris, and I'd definitely suggest if you're wanting to have a bit of a getaway from the cityā¤ļø
