The process of launching a front wheel drive vehicle is straight forward, but from a design standpoint there are several variables you can use to improve your acceleration. Assuming the vehicle is traction limited (has plenty of power), you can improve the theoretical acceleration by changing the center of gravity height, wheelbase length, tire frictional coefficient, weight distribution, and use of downforce.
