WOOOW! Back from Hawaii and BOY was it crazy! What an adventure! The Browns are the coolest family (not us, the other Browns that I stayed with) Crazy talented, funny and humble! It was a pleasure seeing the island with them! I also hung with a local dude named Sage. He showed me all the cool non-touristy spots in Kauai! Almost killed me, too. ;-P Ok, it wasn't his fault, but he took me to a place where the surf is SUPER high and if you're dumb enough to go swimming, the only way to get out is to ride a wave back to the top of the 20-foot cliff you jumped off of. If you screw it up you either get scraped up by the rocks or drown. I didn't screw it up and managed to get out, but then another HUGE wave took me right back off and tossed me around a few minutes... It was pretty gnarly. Honestly, I thought I was going to drown, but I managed to fight the riptide long enough to climb out onto a shallower spot a few hundred feet away from where I fell. When I climbed out of the water, I found a lava rock about the size of a grape embedded in my heel. My right leg was pretty scraped up too. Most of the scratches are healed now, but a few were pretty deep and are still pretty painful. I probably should have gotten stitches but it was hard to tell at the time. Anyway, I'm alive and that's good. :-) OH! You want an easter egg, don't you?! I mean, it's only fitting so close to easter! Here's a video for one of the songs I sang in the Easter show.
