The rest of the controller would activate and work perfectly, but the Triangle button behaved as if it wasn't wired into the controller correctly. It had worked fine for nearly two years by this point. Then, apropos of nothing, it had suddenly stopped working. It still sat in its usual spot in the controller fine and didn't feel like it had been knocked loose. Before sending it away for repairs (which I've gotten used to as my DualShock 4 controllers constantly had stick drift issues), I decided to check online for any solutions folks may have found. I found one solution in a Reddit thread from 2023 lurking in a post written by user "Character_Ad_2733." In the post, the user suggested throwing the DualSense controller "on the floor over and over" would fix the Triangle button issue. Of course, I wasn't born yesterday, so I immediately presumed it wouldn't work. That was until I saw responses below singing the Reddit user's praises. At this point, I was thinking that either the internet had conspired to punk me in 2024, or somehow this ridiculous solution actually worked.
