Hello! This is our last LAHORE STREET FOOD TOUR video and today we are sharing unseen old gems from Lahore (Pakistan) androon. This street food tour is extremely rare so do share and like our video and don't forget to SUBSCRIBE. In this video we start with the typical Lahore nashta (Lahorie breakfast). We try the famous Phajja Paye which are known as Bong Paye. Paaya means 'legs' in Urdu. Paya are feet of goat or lamb. Soups, stews & curries made from paya are usually consumed in Pakistan during winter months. After this, we tried another local favourite- JALEBI DOODH. Jalebi, is a popular sweet snack in Pakistan and is made by deep-frying maida flour batter in pretzel or circular shapes, which are then soaked in sugar syrup! In Lahore its enjoyed with warm milk in a bowl at any time of the day. After a heavy morning- we decided to head to the mochi gate for some more androon Lahore goodness and came across the most delicious peethay ka halwa. This was the first time we’d ever try anything like this and this sort of halwa is made from pumpkin. It’s topped with lots of khoya, almonds and boiled eggs. After a hilarious experience- we headed to the famous Saeen kebab shop which has been around for centuries. Our favourite kebab was definitely the chicken kebab. And yes, we had to stop at the famous Khalifa nan khatai which was located just 5 minutes away. We finish off with Karlamba or katlama. Katlama is a Lahori street food snack which is a desi pizza. It’s a dough topped with Baisan, moong daal, spices, coriander seeds and deep fried. This one is a MUST TRY IN LAHORE. We finished on a high note with Amritsari hareesa. Amritsari hareesa is a dish made of meat, lentils, spices, spinach and kebab all blended into a delicious soupy curry. You have to try this one to know that it is nothing like the Karachi haleem we’ve had all our lives. This is on another level.
