Happy National Ceiling Fan Day! Once again, the display is the biggest it's ever been with one additional spot added. 36 fans now on actual display, 37 demonstrated with the studio space included. This year was a bit less tedious than the last in terms of filming! It's a deceivingly hard video to record, since all of the speed changes are done in one take and the whole thing needs to be redone for cohesion if I miss something or really screw it up. Takes forever to get reset and try again. This year I did a bit more planning before starting to get an order and layout that I could keep better track of while filming, and it mostly worked. I only had to redo low speed entirely once, the others I got first try with only a couple mishaps and a couple other minor things I was able to cut around as I've done before. It's not really a great time to produce, but the end product is always spectacular and really worth all the enjoyment that the viewers seem to get from it. Time Stamps: 0:00 Overview 1:25 Low Speed 8:01 Medium Speed 15:55 High Speed 24:46 Spindown 30:48 Final Overview On the downside, might not be my best effort in terms of the visual. Many portions look great, others not as much. I initially tried to make some camera setting adjustments to bring out some of the fans lacking light kits that tend to have less contrast and become harder to see against all the wood of the ceiling, which looked great on the camera, but in reality it left some of the brighter areas a bit overexposed. I did a few adjustments in editing to bring it back down a bit, but there's really no true fix for the couple lights, clips, etc. that got more washed out in the raw footage. This is just me being nit-picky, but this is a big video annually on my channel, and I always like to let you guys know when I'm working toward a better product.
