Lost Records: Bloom and Rage is a new game from original creators of Life is Strange, Don't Nod. Many fans of the franchise are seeing this spiritual successor as a return to form, but is it? ok, to break character-- this is a video about the way the Life of Strange community treats their franchise and how people treat art in general, especially in gaming. i am here to be pretentious about it. sorry. READ ME: i think i made a few too many mistakes with this video, and i'm not exactly proud of it. i think i tried too hard in some places, and not hard enough in others. i didn't make the point of the video as accessible as it needed to be for how broad of an audience i was targeting. this video was meant to be in some part a "pastiche" of traditional, reactionary review content, and with the second half it flips it on it's head with a semi-contrarian level of positivity. still, i was being genuine with a lot of my criticism, although i may have inflated how much it bothered me. i particularly am unhappy with the B-side because i just don't think i had anywhere near the quality of writing that i had in the first half. i left in some parts that were literally unscripted and they were genuinely bad. this video could've been a lot better if i actually made the point more explicit rather than subtext, and actually made a good case for Double Exposure within it. i don't quite want to unlist this video yet, but i do want to make it clear that i am not really proud of it. also, i ended up not liking Tape 2. i had some hope for it, but that tape ended up having even more issues to be honest. it lacked what made Tape 1 enjoyable, and made all of the existing problems worse. i thought that the game would be more interesting than it ended up being to me. the game definitely still had some solid moments, but on the whole it felt really confused. if you like it, that's great! i'm glad it works for you. clickbait title: I HATE LOST RECORDS: BLOOM AND RAGE music: @lialyphia 0:00 A 14:15 B #lifeisstrange #review #lostrecords
