Hosted by the American Passenger Rail Heritage Foundation (APRFH) at the historic Amtrak station and Lookout Park, the cameras include a PTZ at Lookout Park and two fixed-view cameras (east and west) at the station. Located at milepost 312.7 on the Marceline Subdivision, this feed showcases 50–70 daily trains, including BNSF freight (manifest, intermodal, and locals) and Amtrak’s Southwest Chief (Chicago–Los Angeles) with two daily stops (eastbound #4 in the morning, westbound #3 in the evening). The APRHF preserves La Plata’s rail heritage through exhibits and historical efforts, supported by sponsors Duane and Curt Lundgren in memory of the Great Northern Railroad. The Amtrak station serves as a key passenger stop, and the cameras offer a prime view of one of the busiest rail corridors in the U.S. • Amtrak train locator: https://www.amtrak.com/services/maps.trainlocation.html • Camera Locations: – Amtrak Station: https://maps.app.goo.gl/UzmPG867EfZzR4Hy8 – Lookout Park: https://maps.app.goo.gl/Q5ikbuzvDQBtoGhC7 • Support APRHF exhibits: http://www.aprhf.org/join/ • APRHF Homepage: http://www.aprhf.org/ • Map of the Marceline Sub: http://www.curtlundgren.com/la_plata.jpg (Courtesy of Curt Lundgren) • Actual live stream start date: May 19, 2017 RAILROAD RADIO FREQUENCIES: Road Frequencies: · 160.560 (AAR channel 30): Dispatcher Frequencies: · 161.385 (AAR channel 85) Live Radio Feeds: · BNSF-Norfolk Southern Carrollton Mo: https://www.broadcastify.com/listen/feed/45725 · BNSF Marceline Sub (includes NS Kansas City District): https://bit.ly/2NbpuII Special thanks to our hosts, the American Passenger Rail Heritage Foundation, and sponsors Duane and Curt Lundgren for their continued support.
