Make sure your vaporizer is on a firm, level, waterproof, heat-resistant surface at least six inches from the wall, four feet away from bedside, and out of reach of children and pets. To fill, unlock the steam unit from the water container by turning it counter clockwise. Fill the water tank up to the water line with cool water, secure the steam unit back into the water container. Hold for 10 seconds to allow water to enter the unit and seat properly in the water container. Ensure that the steam unit is locked securely. To use your vaporizer with Vicks VapoSteam, add one tablespoon of the inhalant to the medicine cup or to the water container. To use Vicks VapoPads, insert in the VapoPad into the scent pad slot. When your vaporizer is out of water it will automatically shut off. After each use, empty any unused water from the water container, rinse thoroughly, drain and wipe dry.
