1970 Colnago Super Restoration: Reviving a Vintage Italian Steel Classic In this video, I restore a 1970 Colnago Super in the "Fiori" finish, one of the most admired steel road bikes from Ernesto Colnago's workshop. Colnago began as a teenage welder in Milan and opened his own shop in Cambiago in 1952. He went on to build frames and make improvements for pros like Eddy Merckx and Giuseppe Saronni. The Super is known for its elegant design and fine craftsmanship. It has a Columbus steel frame with ornate lugs, which gives it a classic look and a smooth ride. This bike is fitted with a full Campagnolo Nuovo Record 2x5 groupset. Nuovo Record was the top racing choice for over 16 years and is still treasured by collectors. The build also has Campagnolo high-flange hubs, a 3ttt stem, a Brooks saddle, and Universal Mod. 61 brakes.
